The File Explorer with the System32 folder will open now. This folder contains all the essential files from your Windows operating system. You need to find a file named as CompatTelRunner.

Step-5:

When you have found the CompatTelRunner file, right-click on it. Then, Select the properties options from the menu. Now a new window will open on your system. Click on the Owner tab present there.

Step-6:

Just click on the Edit button present below. When the Edit tab is opened, Select the Administrators from the screen. Now Click on Apply and then tap on Ok to save your changes.

Step-7:

You will see a new prompt which will ask you to close all the properties tab; click on ok.

Step-8:

You need to change the permissions of this file to delete it. Again, Right-Click on the file, which was named CompatTelRunner, opened the properties from the options.

Step-9:

Now, You need to go to the Advanced settings of this folder located on the properties tab. Just go to the permission tab they’re to give the permissions to the recently added Administrator account.

Step-10:

Tick on the Administrator account with which you are logged in. Tap on the Allow button and then click Ok. You have successfully permitted your account.

Step-11:

Please navigate to the System32 file again, which we opened initially. Click on the CompatTelRunner file and delete it from the folder.

Step-12:

You can delete it permanently, or you can empty the Recycle bin to delete the file permanently.

You have successfully deleted the CompatTelRunner File from your System. This means that you have successfully deleted Microsoft Compatibility Telemetry from your pc.

Method-3: Disable COMPATTELTUNNER.EXE

If you find the previous method long enough, You can try disabling through this method. It is a short and easy method to disable the Compatteltunner.exe file in order to disable Compatibility Telemetry program on your windows 10 pc. Just follow the steps given below to disable Compatteltunner.exe file quickly.
