All this has been possible because of the game’s availability for smartphone devices. The game is available on both smartphone and PC platforms, making it a perfect game to enjoy with your friends. The concept of the game is straightforward.
You and other of your fellow players will be assigned a few tasks. While most of the players will be the crewmates who will complete their tasks, one or two imposters will stop crewmates from completing their tasks by killing them.
This game was even awarded twice in the Game Awards, and after that, the team behind it announced that they are working on making a new map that will be released in 2024. However, even though the game is setting new records in popularity, there is no official declaration about launching new skins for the players.
To other people, your character’s skin will appear like usual. One more thing to note here is that this custom mod is only available for the Windows platform. So far, there is no method to apply these custom skins on Android or iOS smartphones. So, here is how you can get custom skins in Among Us.
Steps to Get Among Us Custom Skins on PC
Among Us uses the Unity game engine to run the game on PC. This allows users to make specific changes using Unity Asset Bundle Extractor. The tool is freely available on GitHub, and you can download it using this link.
You also need to download Among Us skins. You can visit GameBanana to find and download custom skins for Among Us. After downloading the tool, you need to install it and follow the steps mentioned below to set up skins in Among Us PC game.
Step-1:
First of all, Launch the Unity Asset Bundle Extractor tool.

After that, choose the “File” option from the top left corner of your screen.

Here, you need to click on the “Load Package File” option. A pop-up box will appear, and here, you need to navigate to the folder where you downloaded skins from the GameBanana website.

Find the “.emip” custom skin file you downloaded earlier and click on the “Open” option. A new window with some checkboxes will appear on your skin. Let the checkboxes as it is and launch Steam on your PC.

Now, right-click on the Among Us icon, and click on the Manage option. Here, you need to select the “Browse local files” option.

Open the Among Us_Data folder and copy its path from the address bar.

Then, go back to the window with checkboxes and paste the path of the Among Us_Data folder. Now, check the box that reads “Affected assets file” and click on the OK option.

Another window will pop up, and here you need to scroll to the bottom and pick the “U2019.20f1” option. It will take a few seconds to load, and then it will take you to the Assets info menu, where it will turn your “.emip” file into an “assets” file.

Now, click on the “File” option and select the “Save” option.

After that, select your Desktop to locate your custom assets file and click on the “Save” option. There will be two files, so you must click on the Save option twice.

Now close all the tabs of Unity Assets Bundle Extractor. Next, go to your Desktop and copy both asset files.

Now, go to the Among Us Data folder and paste both files into it.

After doing this, you will see a warning message saying that the copies of these files already exist in that folder. Here, you need to select the “Replace the files in the destination” option. Then, close everything and restart your PC.
That’s it. Now, whenever you open Among Us on your PC, you will see custom skins instead of default ones. Of course, I recommend you make copies of the original assets files before replacing them with the new ones, but it is not necessary as you can always retrieve original skins from Steam.
Steps to Create Custom Skins in Among Us PC

Step-1:
Launch the Unity Assets Bundle Extractor.
Step-2:
You need to open Steam, right-click on the Among Us icon and click on the Manage option. Here, you need to select the “Browse local files” option to open the Among Us Data folder.
Step-3:
Navigate to the bottom of the folder and select the “sharedassets7.asset” file.
Step-4:
After that, you will be asked to choose the database type. Select the “u2019.2.0f1” option or the one available at the bottom.
Step-5:
A list will appear with multiple files. First, sort this list by type and locate all the “Texture2D” files. After that, select all the “Texture2D” files and then click on the “Plugins” option.
Step-6:
Select the “Export to .png” option and export all the files to a folder where you can quickly locate them.
Step-7:
All the texture files will appear as PNG files in that folder. Next, you need to locate the “Hats-sharedassets0.assets-126” file. This PNG file is the sample of all the hats available in the game. Editing this file will allow you to customize all the hats inside the game.
Step-8:
Open any image editing program and edit that PNG file the way you want. After that, export it and save it to a folder that will be easy to locate.
Step-9:
Move this edited file to the folder where you exported all the Texture2D files in the eighth step. If it will prompt a message saying, “The destination already has a file named “Hats-sharedassets0.assets-126.png” or something similar,” select the Replace the file in the destination option.
Step-10:
Now, open the Unity Assets Bundle Extractor again and repeat the 2 to 7. This time, instead of “Export to .png,” you need to choose the “Batch Import” option.
Step-11:
After that, open the folder where you exported the edited PNG file, select and save it.
Step-12:
This step will create two files named “globalgamemanagers. assets” and “sharedassets0.assets.”

Next, move these two files to the Among Us Data folder. After this, you can launch the Among Us game and enjoy the customized hats and skins.
